What you will be doing,
As an Aircraft Structural Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
- Modifying, Repairing and maintaining the structural configuration of H-6, MH60 and MH47 rotary wing aircraft. You will exicute scheduled and Un scheduled inspections, Structural repairs, and modifications on airframe structures and components. Ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards and supporting mision -critical operational readiness.
- Perform High-complexity Modifications to frames, beams, fuselage, wings, tail assemblies, landing gear attachments, doors and hatches. Using riveting, fastening, trimming, sanding, bonding, and composite repair techniques.
- Perform inspections for structural damage, corrosion, cracks, and other defects. Execute removal, treatment, and preventative programs.
- Fabricate, install, and replace sheet-metal and composite panels, fairings, and strutural components per engineering drawings and survice bullitins.
- Interpret engineering drawings, repair manuals, structural repair schemes, and service bullitins: ensure accurate entry of work in maintenance logs, modification / production instructions, and military documentation systems.
- Lead rigging tasts to verify proper alignment of airframe assemblies and control surfaces after repairs or modification.
- Provide structural repairs in both flight-line and depot environments; coordinate with depot shops for major repairs and back-shop support.
- Adapt to shift variations, Travel (requirement), and deployment requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- Aircraft Structural Repair – Firm understanding of the basic, to moderate, fundamentals of modifying, repairing, and maintaining structural components. Capability to execute structural repairs at both flight-line and depot levels.
- Aircraft Composites Knowledge – Proficient in aviation composite repairs, modifications and installations.
- Maintenance Documentation – Ability to accurately record repairs, inspections and modification maintenance logs, modification and production instructions, and military documentation systems.
- Quality Assurance – Demonstrated skill in verifying completed work order against airworthiness standard and mission requirements.
Depot Maintenance Support – Capability to execute structural repairs at both flight-line and depot levels.
- Operational Flexibility – Ability to work in team environments, independently, and adapt to shift changes, travel (requirement) or deployment.

Demonstrated experience in composite material fabrication, inspection and repair.
Proficiency with composite layup techniques, including wet layout, pre-preg and vacuum bagging.
Knowledge of bonding, curing and finishing processes for composite structures.
Ability to perform structural and non-structural composite repairs in accordance with technical manuals and industry standards.
Familiarity with NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, Tap test) for composite damage assessment.
Skilled in tooling, trimming and fitting composite components to precise tolerances.
Firm understanding of safety protocols and handling procedures for composite materials, adhesives and resins.
Experience documenting repair processes and quality assurance checks to meet compliance requirement.
Pay Information
