THE WORK

  • Manages more than one functional area in Quality, Reliability, Test, or Inspection.
  • Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm.
  • Responsible for all aspects of quality for assigned area of responsibility.
  • Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations.
  • Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes.
  • Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met.
  • Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements.
  • Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility.
  • Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends.
  • Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO-9001, and MIL-STD-1913/1917 quality system requirements.
  • Ability to develop, schedule, and deliver training for hourly associates.
  • Ability to manage cost and schedule in a Manufacturing enviroment 
  • Leadership experience 

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Sikorsky processes and procedures related to aircraft production (e.g. Non-conforming material management, etc.).
  • Demonstrated use of data-driven decision-making to develop and monitor workforce labor-hour metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Experience developing and maintaining positive working relationships with contracted union and customers.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
