Standard Job Description

Perform a variety of tool control duties to insure availability for the distribution of tooling and consumable supplies required within all Mfg. departments.

 Maintain and check lists, files and logs pertaining to the control of tooling for the
manufacturing of parts in and out of the crib.
 Check torque on tools prior to distribution to the manufacturing floor.
 Contact main crib and suppliers to report and obtain information to process paperwork
for replacement tools and insure the earliest availability of UR hardware.
 Order specialized tooling from main tool crib as required
 Check drawing and operation sheets for special tooling callouts.
 Set up lists, logs and necessary paperwork for attendants on the following shift.
 When necessary perform tool crib attendant duties including the preparation of complete
tool kits for various manufacturing operations, checking and regulating stock limits and
initiating requisitions to replenish supplies.
 Service employees at counter for the distribution and return of tools and tool box keys at
beginning of shift and collect tools box keys at the end of each shift
 Responsible for providing a daily supply of paint from main paint shop to Quads.
 Distribute required metal preservatives
 Provide, stock and order a consumable supplies
 Perform related or similar duties as directed.
 Perform operator checklist as required.
 Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required
upkeep.
 Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
 Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
 Refer only unusual conditions to working leader or supervisor.

 

Basic Qualifications

Requires basic training in tool control and work order release methods to work with a variety of forms, records and reports.

Also requires familiarity with tools, gages, and supplies and have a basic knowledge of storekeeping methods and
inventory procedures.

6-12 months experience.
