You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Mgr - L5 for the Structures Design team which is responsible for supporting the C130 digitization effort.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Aeronautical Engineer Mgr - L5 you will be responsible for assigning work scope, managing a supplier, managing priorities, metrics reporting, and resources (both direct LM and contractor). You will lead the digitization effort, validate 3‑D models, and ensure seamless collaboration with external partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the C130 digitization efforts for the AMMM Airframe Design team.
  • Coordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the contractor team to ensure quality and quantity of supplied engineers in alignment with the Statement of Work.
  • Assign work scope, manage supplier relationships, prioritize tasks, and report metrics.
  • Review and validate 3D part and assembly models in Catia V5 for accuracy and clash analysis.

Who You Are
You are a collaborative technical leader with deep experience in aerospace structures and digital model validation. You excel at managing multidisciplinary teams, navigating supplier relationships, and driving results in a fast‑pacing environment. Your expertise in Catia V5 and strong communication skills make you a key influencer for the C130 digitization program.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

-- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering

-- Management or Team Lead Experience

-- Experience with airframe design/development, production support and sustainment support.

-- Experience with Catia V5, NX/Teamcenter or similar PLM/CAD toolset

-- 10+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline. 

Desired Skills

-- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-- Familiarity with legacy aircraft platform drawings, tools, and processes

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
