What is it like to work in Subcontract Administration ?

 

This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

 

  • The Missile Defense Programs Subcontract Admistrator executes subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontracts.
  • Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.
  • May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university
  • Experience using Procure 2 Pay (P2P)Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, proposal, and/or Category Management)
  • Experience working with internal and external customers

You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and  maintain a US  SECRET clearance,to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.  Please note: No clearance is required to apply, but an interim clearance will be needed to start.

Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

  • Experience with supply chain management or buying or procurement or related field
  • Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP)
  • Strong Communication and Organizational Skills
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
  • Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers
  • You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
