This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
- The Adjancent Capabilities Subcontract Program Manager will be responsible for the management of supplier, cost, schedule and technical performance on developmental programs.
- The candidate will lead a multifunctional team across multiple Internal and Customer Research and Development Programs (IRAD/CRAD).
- The candidate will mentor and train Subcontract Administrators on both Capital and Customer funded contracting efforts.
- The candidate will be responsible for creating Statements of Work, Negotiating Terms and Conditions, and performing price analyses for purchase orders.
- The candidate will work with the Program Management Team to ensure that inputs are put into both the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) as well as the Risk Register.
- The candidate will work to ensure that all of the relevant stakeholders to include internal Executive Leadership are briefed on the status of all subcontract activities.
Basic Qualifications
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Procure to Pay (P2P) experience
- 7 years Subcontract Experience i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, proposal, and/or Category Management)
- Experience manging IMS (Intergrated Master Schedule)
- Experience Managing suppliers
- You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Experience with ROADS (Risk and Opportunity Assessment Database for success)
- Experience Reading Engineering Drawings and Schematics
- Experience with Production and/or Manufacturing
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Rocket City USA, one of the greatest places to work: Huntsville, AL , and be expected to work in the office.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $100200.00 - $186200.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
