This role is a future-thinking role of supply chain and strategy  for the FBM supply chain and will offer you the following daily challenges:

• Key activity is developing the cost projections to our external customers for the program to ensure we are setup for success long term with the adequate budget and link assumptions across program hardware.

• Identify critical parts and potential bottlenecks across the value stream.
• Design and implement mitigation strategies, including dual‑source qualification, safety policies, and contingency logistics.
• Lead cross‑functional risk‑assessment workshops and maintain a resilient‑supply‑chain register.  
• Partner with external customers to understand long‑term requirements and incorporate them into planning models.
• Liaise with internal planners, engineering, finance, and quality teams to ensure alignment of forecasts, cost targets, and quality standards.
• Communicate plan updates, risks, and mitigation actions to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, proposal, and/or Category Management)
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Please note: No clearance is required to apply, nor prior to start.

Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Strong Communication Skills - ability to communicate throughout CPE/IPT leads, Subcontracts Team and Leadership, provide key stakeholders assumptions and assure alignment 
• Organizational Skills - identifying and documention any ground rules and assumptions properly in which that team can review projections with value to ensure alignment Relationship - build quick relationsihps with key stakeholders and leads to be able to navigate through the team to get alignment and learn the subcontracts critical components and long term concerns. 
• Understanding of missile hardware, SSP/Navy Customers
• Cost Modeling/Projections or Forecast Experience

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work:  Denver, Colorado,  and be expected to work in the office.
