Lockheed Martin (LM) Space is searching for an IT Operations Associate Manager for our Sensing & Warning (S&W) mission segment under the National Security Space Line of Business. As a S&W IT Operations Associate Manager, the successful candidate will manage and lead a team of IT professionals for multiple classified systems which includes infrastructure and application deployments, new technology insertion, program, project and budget management, schedule and staffing requirements. The candidate will also coordinate with program management and technical leads to coordinate program operations, new environment stand-up and integration of various classified services.

This candidate will also be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

How about Fridays off? This role is scoped on a 4x10 schedule! All work must be performed on-site in our secure facility in Sunnyvale, CA – and it may include some occasional off-shift hours, weekends, and limited travel.

**In light of current internal business pressures, priority consideration will be given to qualified candidates who are currently affiliated with the Enterprise Operations’ EBDT (Enterprise Business & Digital Transformation) organization.**

 

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that do not perform IT responsibilities, use E146, Systems Engineer.

Basic Qualifications

• Active TS or higher at time of application
• Prior experience leading people, projects, or teams
• Understanding of classified IT system architectures and multi-site connections
• Experience with management of IT systems including storage, servers, networking devices
• Experience leading and managing IT requirements and executing project management schedules through completion
• Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries
• Ability to coordinate with other sites, business areas, programs and functional areas to coordinate daily operations as well as program coordination and adoption

 

Desired Skills

•Experience with leading an Agile team and/or understanding of Agile principles
•Understanding of 1LMX tools and capabilities
• Highly motivated and able to prioritize and integrate multiple projects
• Strong understanding of information security trends and current industry focus areas, Technical experience with vulnerability management, normal infrastructure/perimeter protections, information security best practices
• Demonstrated process improvement success
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Full-Time Salary Range: $131100.00 - $243500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
