The Vice President of the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Program is seeking an experienced Executive Program Manager for the role of All Up Round (AUR) Director. 

This All Up Round (AUR) Program Director position provides program management and leadership of the NGI Program specifically to coordinate in house Production across the three major hardware segments - Mission Support Vehicle, Kill Vehicle, Booster into an integrated AUR delivery to NGI customer base.  In the role, the Program Director will ensure seamless synchronization of activities across the Segments and represent the holistic interests of the program in interfacing and partnering with the LM Space Operations organization for manufacturing across all LM make locations. Responsibilities include procurement activities, preparations of the Courtland Missile Assembly Building (MAB) NGI AUR assembly and test operations including any AUR support equipment.  In this role, the Director will also oversee other critical program activities including development demonstrations, either ground based or flight,  funded either through LM IRAD or cost shared by the NGI Customer.

 

This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

  • 10+ years of highly effective leadership experience with a proven ability to manage through complex environment.
  • Project or Program management / leadership experience with demonstrated ability to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives
  • Experience as a CAM or with earned value management (EVM) principles
  • Prior Program Management, IRAD, or CRAD execution experience
  • Experience interfacing with company executives, customers and external agencies
  • Experience with risk and opportunity management
  • Experience with integrated planning or equivalent
  • You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US TOP SECRET clearance,to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

  • Leadership experience with demonstrated customer, internal product center, and supplier partnerships; recent leadership in satellite development, missile and/or weapon system development, production and/or sustainment
  • Leadership experience within major functional organizations that provide a deep understanding of program/Functional interdependencies and synergies
  • Experience maintaining positive working relationships with government customers.  
  • Proven ability to interface with company senior leadership and external customers at all levels.  
  • Strong business acumen, including negotiation and conflict management.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of financial/business analysis, government contracts/acquisition, technology and business planning.
  • Experience with new business budget/execution; FAR/DFAR proposal development and negotiations Demonstrated experience with earned value and program management tools and processes .
  • Demonstrated capability in the areas of Integrated Master Schedule/Integrated Master Plan, Subcontract Management.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $195000.00 - $350000.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
