What does this role look like? 

As a System Engineer Sr Staff on the Missile SEIT Project Integration team, you will be the Control Account Manager for Missile Systems Engineering projects and IRADs/Proposal.
In this role, you will:

• Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple control accounts
• Lead technical planning activities and manage systems engineering project scope and execution
• Support IRAD and proposal efforts for the MSEIT team, including system design, analysis, test, and integration activities
• Contribute to Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, proposal submissions, and contract execution activities
• Serve as the primary point of accountability to the Program Manager for Control Account performance and provide support for Earned Value Management activities
• Partner with functional managers and leadership to ensure staffing plans align with project needs and forecasted workload

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Experience in systems engineering, including integration, design, and test activities
  • Working knowledge of the full systems engineering lifecycle
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM), with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), or related program management responsibilities
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional efforts across technical and programmatic teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills

  • CAM certification preferred
  • Experience in project and/or program management
  • Experience supporting IRAD execution and proposal development processes
  • Working knowledge of program cost and scheduling tools
  • Knowledge of or experience with missile, defense, aerospace, or related systems
  • Familiarity working with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customers
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $161300.00 - $299500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
