Standard Job Description
Basic Qualifications
- STEM degree
- Comfortable working with statistics, life‑data models, and interpreting reliability metrics such as MTBF and MTTR.
- Skilled at diagnosing issues through root‑cause analysis, FMEA, and fault‑tree techniques.
- Able to use reliability‑analysis software (e.g., ReliaSoft, MATLAB, Python) to predict performance and assess maintainability
Desired Skills
- Statistical analysis & probability theory (MTBF, Weibull, log‑normal)
- Failure analysis methods (RCA, FMEA/FMECA, Fault/Event Tree)
- Reliability modeling tools (ReliaSoft Weibull++, BlockSim, ALTA) and data‑analysis languages (MATLAB, Python, R)
- Design of Experiments (DOE) and accelerated life‑testing techniques
- Maintainability metrics (MTTR, MAM) and logistic support analysis (LML, LCC)
- Knowledge of relevant standards (MIL‑STD‑1629, MIL‑STD‑217F, IEC 62087, NASA‑STD‑8739.2)
- System‑level understanding (hardware schematics, BOMs, interface control documents)
- Basic software reliability concepts for embedded/firmware systems
- Project and configuration management (requirements traceability, change control, risk management)
- Clear technical writing and presentation skills for reports, RCA summaries, and training material
- Effective communication and teamwork across design, test, manufacturing, and logistics functions
- Safety awareness and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Understands how design, logistics, and human factors affect both reliability and maintainability throughout the product life cycle.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
