Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a highly motivated and technically curious Classified Systems Engineer – IT Associate to join our team. This is an entry-level position focused on supporting Windows and Linux systems within classified environments.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced IT professionals and systems engineers to maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and support classified computing environments. Candidates are not expected to have experience with every technology or process listed. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate strong technical fundamentals, problem-solving ability, initiative, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
This is a full-time, onsite position supporting classified programs.The majority of the workday will be performed within closed/classified areas.The position requires the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also developing the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day system administration and technical support for Windows and Linux operating systems in classified environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and basic network-related issues.
- Coordinate and perform system maintenance, upgrades, configuration changes, and patching for Windows and Linux systems.
- Support system hardening and maintain compliance with applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security requirements.
- Assist with vulnerability identification, remediation, and verification activities.
- Support the installation, configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting of applications within classified environments.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and replacement across multiple system architectures.
- Monitor system health and assist with maintaining the integrity, availability, and reliability of IT systems and applications.
- Work with customers, program personnel, security personnel, and other IT team members to resolve technical issues and support mission requirements.
- Perform other IT support and systems administration duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience working in Windows-based environments, including Active Directory domain environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system related issues.
- Working knowledge of Windows system administration and configuration.
- Experience supporting endpoint security or antivirus software, such as McAfee/Trellix.
- Basic Netowrk Experience.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a technical environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Desired Skills
- Experience working with eSTIG, STIG Viewer, or other security system auditing and compliance applications.
- Familiarity with implementing technical security requirements across multiple operating systems.
- Knowledge of JSIG, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST security controls, and other applicable cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience supporting systems in a DoD, classified, regulated, or security-focused IT environment.
- Experience with vulnerability identification, remediation, and security compliance activities.
- Familiarity with system hardening, security configuration, and vulnerability management processes.
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration.
- Experience working in Linux-based environments.
- Ability to learn and apply new technical and cybersecurity requirements in a rapidly changing environment.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
