The Work

 

This is a position for a Systems Engineer Lead and Subject Matter Expert on the ACES Battle Staff Trainer Program. 

As Systems Engineering Lead on this team, you will:

Lead other Systems Engineers and/or sub-discipline architects in establishing a highly customized functional and physical system design and architecture. Develop innovative solutions to a range of complex problems that are consistent with the program objectives.

Perform system architecture analysis using Mission and Exercise Planning Tools to develop realistic training exercises for NATO customers.

Work with a team of system engineers and/or interdisciplinary subject matter experts to analyze and design the system functional, logical, and behavioral architecture using MBSE tools and DOORS or DOORS NEXT; ensuring flow-down to lower-level specifications, and compliance throughout the design

Be a member of Integrated Product Team responsible for the scope and associated cost and schedule. Interface with cross functional teams and customer on regular basis to effectively execute the scope.

Have the ability to travel domestically and internationally (25% travel)

This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

 

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with 5 or more years of related experience 
Experience with systems integration and test

Experience applying System Engineering processes in an Agile environment. 
Basic knowledge of typical NATO unit force structures.
Prior engagement experiences requiring communication of technical concepts to external stakeholders

Desired Skills

Experience at Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) exercise planning

Experience in  Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) exercise operation and support

Experience in Install, configuration, and troubleshoot of  MCS and LVC systems in distributed DIS, HLA, and JLVC architectures

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
