We are seeking a Systems Engineer Sr to join the RMS Global Sustainment, Information Systems & Innovation (IS&I) organization. This role will be responsible for and work directly with the Project Leads and the Lead Architect to define, model, and validate next-generation sustainment solutions across multiple programs.

This role will be responsible for supporting, creating, and maintain system architecture models (Cameo Systems Modeler) for CAST products and emerging 1LMX solutions. Will be responsible for generating and tracing requirements, functional flows, and interface definitions from MBSE artifacts to downstream development artifacts (CDRLs, etc.). The successful candidate will support the Architecture Lead, as well as the program and project owners, who serve as the primary interface among multiple internal and external organizations throughout the software development and deployment life‑cycle for Digital Transformation initiatives, CAST (Connect, Assist, Sustain & Transform) product(s), and 1LMX‑wide solutions.

The CAST products is a culmination of various advanced software offerings enabling Lockheed Martin customers on a variety of platforms to have an interactive experience within their respected areas of operations. Examples of these products include the Lockheed Martin Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM), the Aurora Maintenance Management System (AMMS) and the Digital Field Service Rep (Digital FSR) mobile and web applications to name a few. The CAST suite of tools is a key sustainment supporting element for both Commercial and Military operations today and continues to evolve with new capabilities. By leveraging the most current technological software advances, our developers are rapidly expanding the product offerings from a simple application to an in-depth interactive experience.

Summary of Role:

  •  Support IS&I Lead Architect to model next generation sustainment solutions
  •  Provide technical leadership of software development effort
  •  Keep pace with enabling technologies and provide input to technology insertion plans
  •  Participate in software reviews, produce schedule, agenda, meeting minutes collection, action items and resolution of action items
  • Produce technical presentations in support of Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)/guidance conferences, IPT meetings, program reviews, and summits
  • Interact with other System Engineers and interfacing organizations (SSE, Eng, Diagnostics,Supportability sub-segments, etc.)
  • Document and resolve customer issues

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related technical field

• Familiar with model-based systems engineering and Cameo modeling

• Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Experience

• Knowledge and usage of SE processes and System Engineering “V”

• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE)

• Knowledge of software development life cycle

• Detail oriented, team oriented

• Clear, concise writing skills

• Ability to effectively work with internal & external customers

• Ability to work independently and work with limited direction to accomplish project goals

• MSOffice Proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Timeline)

• US Citizen

Desired Skills

• Experience with Software Architecture design

• Familiarity with Scrum and Agile development methodologies

• Familiarity with Web design

• Experience with data collection and analytical analysis

• Experience with mobile devices, applications and/or technologies

• Familiarity with 1LMX

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role. 

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $106600.00 - $198000.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $95900.00 - $178100.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $85300.00 - $158300.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $76700.00 - $142500.00
