The Engineering & Technology organization is a highly dynamic and growing organization that plays a vital role in providing mission-critical solutions to our customers. This position is for a System Engineer Lead to support the LRHW System Engineering, Integration & Test organization. You will help design, develop, and innovate technical solutions for soldier utilized ground systems.

This position requires strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and to interface with software developers, test engineers, other system engineers, program management, quality assurance engineers, and customer representatives.
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Lead System Engineer for a position in Huntsville, AL.

- Reviews and validates product deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and design specifications.
- Defines, documents, and enforces SE team processes.
- Ensures compliance with established procedures and promotes best practices across the team
- Support and conduct formal and informal engineering technical reviews.
- Lead system interface development, as captured in Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), by converting system and interface requirements into message-level details sufficient to coordinate interface development.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience and full knowledge of processes in one or more of the following areas:
- Trade Studies
- Systems Engineering approach and processes
- Requirement definition, decomposition, and allocation
- Interface definition (ICD, IBDs, IDDs)
- Performing System Integration
- Support to major reviews
- Writing Specifications
- Working Knowledge of Cameo/ Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship Required
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field and/or equivalent experience
Desired Skills
- Capable of working both independently and within a small team environment.
- Knowledge and application of systems engineering processes across the full product life cycle (to include proposal, design, qualification, requirements verification/validation, production and field support)
- Formal or informal team leadership experience including coaching and giving performance feedback
- CONOPS or Architecture Development
- Strong prior experience with use of Cameo and DOORS
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
