The Lockheed Martin Global Comms and Navigation Mission Segment is designing, developing, and delivering an integrated space/ground Satellite Communications (SATCOM) system. This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the  design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on the interface definition/documentation and integration of key, intersegment boundaries to facilitate successful end-to-end mission performance

In this role, you will
- Support the definition and documentation of intersegment ICDs and network design addressing both C2 and mission data flows perform as intended.
- Coordinate key system-level integration and validation activities to retire risk and meet program technical and schedule objectives
- Work closely with the MBSE engineering team to ensure the necessary system behaviors, data flows, applicable interface definitions are reflected in the digital environment

 

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
- 6 years (min) of Engineering Experience (including Systems Engineering and or Integration experience)
- Experience defining, coordinating, and/or verifying and validating complex interfaces
- Familiar with common Systems Engineering Tools (DOORS, CAMEO)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess current TS clearance

Desired Skills

- Master's degree (or higher) in Engineering
- experience in working CONOPs/thread-based engineering and decomposing into requirements/interface documentation
- Familiarity with Network protocols and designing end-to-end network connectivity
- Cyber and/or Cryptographic unit experience
- Background in designing, or sustaining communication systems for space missions
- Active SCI clearance
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
