The Work
In this role the candidate will serve as a Networks Systems Engineer (SE). As a Networks SE, the Networks SE shall act as the SE Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the NES ART and will develop and implement the Network Systems Engineering products. The Networks SE will act as the liaison between the Networks ART and the Program Systems Engineering team and ensure that all processes and procedures are aligned and standardized.
- Lead all Networks requirements activities
- Support the development and review of system engineering artifacts (e.g. implementation specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.)
- Responsible for development of interface documentation, diagrams, architectural documentation of networks systems engineering models
- Support development of technical approaches to meet requirements and lead the generation of engineering estimates
- Provide mentoring to team members to develop standardization of systems engineering processes and procedures

Standard Job Description
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that do not perform IT responsibilities, use E146, Systems Engineer.
Basic Qualifications
- The position requires an IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
- Must have an active Secret Security Clearance and have/maintain a valid US passport.
- In-depth understanding of systems engineering process and principles.
- Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
- Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
- Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).
- Candidates should have experience with developing large, complex systems.
- Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools
Desired Skills
- Prior C2BMC experience
- Experience working within an Agile development environment, domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense, experience with Systems Analysis, Model Based System Engineering, Architecture development, Virtualization, Containerization, and Cloud Computing principles.
- Demonstrated experience working large multi-site software development efforts including external interface development.
- Demonstrated experience conducting or leading Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies and/or Design Evaluations.
- Experience designing large command and control and/or weapon systems
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
