Standard Job Description

You will be the Inspection Supervisor for the Inspection Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product compliance, driving quality improvements, and reducing defects.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Inspection Supervisor you will be responsible for leading the inspection function, coordinating the team, and advancing process excellence.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising and coordinating the receiving inspection process
  • Training and developing inspection personnel
  • Conducting audits and performance assessments
  • Assigning work, managing salaries, and taking recognition/disciplinary actions
  • Implementing process improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance
  • Proven interpersonal abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Experience in quality control or a related field, with knowledge of inspection procedures and protocols.  Experienced professional with 5 years of experience.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple inspection streams, and adapt to schedule changes or overtime demands.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies, issues, make informed decisions. 
  • Experience with use of common inspection gages and measuring equipment and proficient with drawing and specification interpretation.
  • Demonstrated track record of ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is required; overtime may be necessary to meet mission needs.

Desired Skills

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing training.
  • Proficiency with visual‑inspection equipment, alloy testing using XRF or SEM/EDS analysis instrumentation
  • Comfortable working with statistical data and generating trends/reports.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Apriso software.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and statistical quality control (SQC)
  • Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, such as DCMA regulations 
  • Experience with supply chain management and purchasing 

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $65200.00 - $121200.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
