The Flight Test Planning team is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their Team.  The Flight Test Planning team translates system‑level requirements into actionable test plans, analyzing missile trajectories to define the precise data‑collection needs for every FBM flight. They produce and manage the technical documentation that underpins peer and customer reviews, and they synthesize analysis results into clear presentations for engineers, DoD representatives, and program leadership. By bridging multidisciplinary expertise with rigorous test‑execution and analysis fundamentals, the team ensures every flight test is rigorously planned, accurately measured, and fully supported. 

 

As a System Engineer you will: 

  • Develop/analyze/verify system level requirements and document and manage accordingly
  • Evaluate the missile trajectory to determine data collection support requirements for each FBM flight test
  • Create and manage technical documents, providing feedback to data packages to support peer and customer reviews
  • Present analysis results and Flight Test Planning material to internal engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel during technical exchange meetings

Basic Qualifications

  • Exceptional ability to communicate highly technical information
  • Understanding of test planning, test execution, and/or test analysis principles
  • Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret; US Citizenship required

Desired Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: MATLAB, Fortran, C/C++, Python, Java
  • Collaborated seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions while cultivating a culture of shared ownership and collective accountability
  • Customer interaction and familiarity with the DoD Flight Tests
  • Familiarity with STK, MBSE, Cameo, Agile or similar process
  • Working knowledge of test planning, and execution 
  • Familiarity with the Trident II D5LE Missile

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
