Lockheed Martin is currently seeking a International Tax Applications Staff to join our Tax Systems team.  

Act as tax subject matter expert and oversee domestic and international indirect tax determination software stand-up for the Lockheed Martin enterprise. Candidate will work directly with tax consulting and software partners as well as internal Tax, ERP, and finance business and operations stakeholders to help meet Lockheed Martin’s global indirect tax technology needs and requirements, including tax systems implementation, transaction analysis, supply chain analysis, business requirements analysis, and business transformation.

This position will work with colleagues outside the US and may require telephone or Teams calls outside normal business hours. Desired location is US Eastern time zone due to collaboration with colleagues in EU, Middle East, and APAC regions.

There is a requirement to be on-site 1 day per and currently the team is in on Wednesday. Candidates should be available to be on-site as needed to meet business needs.

Timely and accurately prepares and files all applicable tax returns and reports involved with federal, state, local, property, sales, and other tax liabilities in accordance with the prescribed laws and regulations. Prepares tax accounting records and reports in accordance with applicable tax accounting practices, including external reporting of the effective tax rate, the balance sheet, transfer pricing, cash flow forecasting and the tax footnote, including quarterly disclosures. Identify and report to management opportunities and issues as they relate to tax matters with the objective to minimize tax or tax exposure for the organization. Assignments include conducting internal audits relating to tax matters; assisting in external tax audits; preparing guidelines or policies related to tax compliance; tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; and modeling the financial impact of new or proposed tax legislation.

Basic Qualifications

•Tax technical experience (consulting, compliance, and/or audit support) with VAT/GST. 
•Experience using Vertex O Series
•Willingness to learn intricacies of SAP or similar ERP applications, specifically with respect to tax, AP/PO, A/R, e-invoicing, and/or G/L module.
•Detail oriented and willingness to learn government accounting rules, direct tax rules, and additional VAT/GST rules as needed.
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a business related field, computer science, or equivalent experience/combined education
•6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
•Effective written and verbal skills
•US Citizenship

Desired Skills

•Understanding of key indirect tax processes and data drivers while possessing a broad industry background/understanding of manufacturing.
•Recent experience with implementing and maintaining Vertex tax technology solution for global organizations.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, or process mapping software.
•Certified as a global indirect tax and/or sales and use implementation professional from various vendors and/or other acceptable qualifications and designations including PMI certification.
•Has obtained or is working toward obtain advanced certifications relevant to tax – e.g. CPA, LLM/JD, MTX, EA, etc.

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $111400.00 - $206800.00

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$100200.00 - $186200.00

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$89100.00 - $165500.00
