Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for a position in Troy, AL. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a work group, ensuring high-quality products, excellent performance, and on-time delivery. All functions and job duties assigned to the Manufacturing Supervisor, include, but are not limited to:
- Daily supervision of a team
- Building effective relationships
- Planning and assigning work to teammates
- Ensuring all teammates are adequately trained and prepared for work
- Tracking performance metrics, attendance, throughput, and standards
- Assisting in the development of strategies to increase throughput and reduce inefficiencies
- Ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace
- Working with ESH to ensure that safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/combined education
- Working knowledge of computing resources including MS Office applications
- Proven ability to manage cost, quality, and schedule metrics
- Experience managing hourly performance, assignments, training, labor records, and overtime schedules
- Must be able to perform in a team and customer-focused work environment, maintaining effective communication with internal / external customers
- Must obtain a secret clearance prior to starting
**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills
- Six or more years of related experience
- Manufacturing and/or defense industry experience
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to provide Leadership and obtain Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Working knowledge and previous experience managing cost, quality, and schedule metrics
- Ability to maintain good employee relations within a team
- Excellent oral, active listening, written communications skills and team building skills
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of effective preventive/corrective action plans
- Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
