Following  the decision by the Australian Government to acquire UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia  has established a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the initial procurement and ongoing sustainment activities. As the UH-60M Publications Officer, you will support the implementation, maintenance and distribution of Technical Publications for the UH-60M Black Hawk capability. Working closely with the System Program Office (SPO), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) leads, project teams and customers, you will coordinate publication amendments, manage document distribution activities and provide technical publication expertise. This role plays a critical part in ensuring aviation technical publications remain accurate, current and accessible to support maintenance, sustainment and operational outcomes.

This role is based at Enoggera, QLD.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage technical publication amendments and updates for UH-60M Black Hawk publications.
• Provide technical publication guidance and support to project management, ILS leads, project staff and customers.
• Oversee and support the distribution of UH-60M Black Hawk publications through approved ICT systems.
• Manage the distribution and control of electronic and hard-copy technical publications.
• Maintain publication configuration control and ensure documentation remains accurate, current and compliant with applicable standards.
• Review and analyse maintenance, logistics and technical information to support publication updates and amendment activities.
• Liaise with engineering, maintenance, logistics and operational stakeholders to implement approved publication changes.
• Work collaboratively with the System Program Office to establish, develop and maintain the UH-60M publications capability.
• Identify opportunities to improve publication processes, information management practices and publication accessibility.
• Perform other publications and documentation activities as required in support of the UH-60M Black Hawk program.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

What you'll bring

• Significant experience within an engineering and/or maintenance environment, preferably within the defence aviation industry.
• Strong computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat Pro and document management systems.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex maintenance, logistics and technical information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate issues, identify solutions and drive continuous improvement outcomes.
• Familiarity with DEF(AUST) 5629C and Australian Air Publication (AAP) 7000.003. and awareness of configuration and change management principles with AAP’s.
• Experience working with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).
• Experience supporting ADF aviation publications and publication amendment processes.
• Relevant Aircraft Maintenance qualifications, knowledge of adjacent ILS disciplines and/or experience within an ADF System Program Office environment would be highly regarded.
