Strategic Sourcing Category Management is seeking a Category Manager to join the Direct Category Management team. This role is in support of Supply Chain Transformation and is critical to the enablement of material savings and Central Procurement efficiencies through the expansion of OneLM Agreements (Corporate Agreements, Long Term Agreements (LTAs).

The Category Manager will:
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Category Manager to develop and implement contracting strategies for the Actives category, driving savings and efficiencies.
• Provide support to other Category Leads as required, contributing to the effective management of a broad range of electrical categories, including Connectors, Passives and other electrical categories.
• Support execution and management of OneLM Agreements in accordance with LMAP, CAP and GSCO policies and procedures
• Support all aspects of the OneLM Agreement process, including: preparation of requirements documents, statements of work and RFPs; development of evaluation criteria; participation in bidders' conferences and supplier presentations; analysis and evaluation of proposals in support of best value procurements; price negotiations; terms and conditions negotiations; price analyses; documenting activities in compliance with policies and procedures; supplier management; as well as the management and maintenance of the agreement.

While this is a full-time telecommuting position, occasional travel may be required.

 

Develops a global sourcing strategy for commodities (categories.) Defines project scope and facilitates execution, identifying savings opportunities in order to provide differentiating value for Lockheed Martin. Works with Business Area, Business Unit or Enterprise-wide, cross-functional teams of supply chain, component engineering, quality, finance and business operations professionals to analyze supply base risks & opportunities, support program needs, identify new sources of supply and maximize the horizontal strength for the specific category. Negotiates and manages contracts and relationships with suppliers. Implements policies and metrics to ensure that savings goals are realized and performance requirements are achieved. Possesses an in-depth understanding of category market space and supplier base in order to establish effective supplier relationships to drive innovative strategies that enhance performance. Acts as the main focal point for all matters pertaining to the given category.

Basic Qualifications

To be successful, the candidate will possess these basic qualifications:


• Demonstrated procurement and strategic supply chain experience as Category Manager, Procurement Representative and/or Subcontract Administrator
• Experience executing and documenting purchase orders and/or long term agreements in accordance with supply chain policies/procedures (LMAP, CAP, etc.)
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional teams in a virtual environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Flexibility to adapt to change and move seamlessly between projects
• Ability to successfully interface and interact with all levels of the organization
• Customer focused, results oriented
• Motivated self-starter
• Proficient in software tools including Excel, PowerPoint and LM procurement tools

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role. 

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $90600.00 - $168200.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$81500.00 - $151300.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$72500.00 - $134600.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): :$65200.00 - $121200.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.
