Standard Job Description

The Communications Representative Senior will lead integrated communications planning and storytelling for Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) and the MFC Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization, including 1LMX, Enterprise Business & Digital Transformation and Information Technology (I.T.), in partnership with Employee & Executive Communications, Integrated Communications, Program Communications and enterprise counterparts.

 

The selected candidate will serve as the direct strategic communications advisor to the MFC CIO and vice president, including executive communications, employee engagement and communications supporting CIO priorities.

 

Key Skills and Responsibilities

  • Serves as direct communications support and strategic advisor to the MFC Chief Information Officer and Vice President, including executive communications, employee engagement and communications supporting MFC CIO priorities
  • Leads integrated communications planning and storytelling for enterprise-wide 1LMX and Enterprise Business & Digital Transformation/I.T. priorities
  • Collaborates closely with functional, program, employee and external communications partners on major initiatives, announcements and milestones
  • Represents MFC Communications on 1LMX and Enterprise Business & Digital Transformation campaigns
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Must have the ability to travel approximately 10%
  • Strong writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways
  • Previous strategic communications experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with internal communication platforms and AP Style
  • Actively contributes to the development of new integrated communications concepts
  • Possesses comprehensive understanding of industry practices, demonstrating expertise in integrated marketing communications and related disciplines
  • Develops innovative communications solutions to a range of complex issues, consistent with business objectives
  • Works under general direction and participates in determining assignment objectives. Work is done independently and reviewed at critical points, consistent with communications goals and business objectives
  • Exerts some influence on overall project objectives and long-range goals
  • Engages with senior personnel on significant communications matters

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
