WHAT WE’RE DOING 

The Environmental, Safety, Health and Sustainability (ESHS) organization is looking for a skilled Metrics & Data Analyst to support analytics, technology and business. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders at every level of the organization and across functional departments to drive initiatives forward with a OneLM approach. 

 

THE WORK 

As a Metrics & Data Analyst you will be responsible for supporting analytical and innovative efforts within the enterprise ESHS organization and across the business areas. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Partnering with ESH and functional SMEs to understand pain points and opportunities, then transcribing them into data‑driven solutions. 
  • Maintaining data analytics pipelines that support program management. 
  • Utilizing statistics, machine learning, and AI to analyze program performance and operational metrics. 
  • Creating interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau that translate large complex datasets into actionable narratives that drive ESH efforts. 
  • Collaborating with AI teams to develop and drive adoption of AI solutions. 
  • Supporting the enterprise analytics strategy for ESH and sustainability  
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards, KPI reports, and predictive models  
  • Establishing data‑governance standards, quality controls, and taxonomy for ESH data  
  • Monitoring performance metrics, providing executive insights, and recommending corrective actions   
  • Supporting the ESH Analytics Center of Excellence

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to data/analytics (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related) or equivalent experience .
  • Proficiency in data querying and data wrangling (e.g. SQL, pandas).
  • Proficiency in a scripting programming language (Python, R, or similar). 
  • Proficiency in data visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc. 
  • Strong data quality governance, ensuring accuracy and integrity through rigorous auditing and exploratory data analysis. 
  • Familiarity with machine‑learning and AI solutions. 
  • Strong written, visual, and oral communication; ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. 
  • Experience leading cross‑functional projects, defining scope, managing timelines, and delivering results. 

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with environmental, safety and health business processes 
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI tools, Large Language Models (LLMs), and machine learning techniques to automate workflows, accelerate data processing, or uncover hidden patterns. 
  • Ability to communicate highly technical findings and analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely. 
  • Successfully partnering across functions to align data strategies with overarching business objectives. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from initial scoping and requirement gathering to final delivery and ongoing maintenance. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple competing priorities, track milestones, and adapt to shifting business needs in a fast-paced environment. 

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role. 

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $106600.00 - $198000.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $95900.00 - $178100.00 
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $85300.00 - $158300.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $76700.00 - $142500.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
