Role Overview

Coordinate engineering projects from planning through completion. You’ll be responsible for aligning schedules, technical work, design activities, and project priorities across teams while supporting the resolution of engineering design and test issues.

This role connects engineering teams, program priorities, and business requirements to help keep complex work moving toward successful completion.

 

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, organization, integration, and completion of engineering projects within an assigned area.
  • Develop and maintain engineering program plans, schedules, and priorities.
  • Drive resolution to risks and issues that arise across projects.
  • Co-create an environment where cross functional teams are optimizing around the hardest work in flight.
  • Provide vital communication channel with DoD customers.
  • Review system designs and related documentation for alignment with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and applicable specifications.
  • Own and drive project financial activities, including budgets, cost estimates, and cost tracking.
  • Communicate project status, technical information, priorities, and issues to relevant stakeholders.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to drive projects where multiple teams delivered a technical solution that contained a combination of software, infrastructure, network engineering, or hardware components.
  • Experience using Jira or other work tracking tool, including the ability to create queries to surface the right data.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or coordinating project or production schedules and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience supporting project financials, such as budgets, cost estimates, cost tracking, or related project controls.
  • Experience reviewing technical or project documentation against applicable requirements, standards, specifications, or customer requirements.
  • Experience managing risk across multiple work portfolios.
  • Proven experience presenting information to Director/VP level stakeholders.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

  • MBA or advanced degree in Engineering field.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project or operational risks.
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) tools.
  • Experience developing and delivering customer-facing briefings and presentations.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
