Standard Job Description

You might start the day reviewing a quick-turnsocial cut from yesterday’s shoot, then jump intoa planning huddle to align on a new interviewpackage or program story.

By midday, you’relighting and filming an SME or capturing b-rollon-site with a small, agile crew or solo.

Back atyour workstation, you’re building clean edits inPremiere, adding motion polish in After Effects,and tailoring versions for internal channels andsocial formats.

Every day is slightly different—studio, field, travel, fast pivots—but the constantis teamwork, tight storytelling, and deliveringsharp, modern content that supports the RMSmission.

Uses photographic, video graphic, film and/ormultimedia equipment to capture images tovisually optimize subjects, objects or places.

Applies both creative and technical skills to tellstories for internal or external audiences.

Mayinclude still photography, video, digital media orother visual capture.

Responsibilities may involvechoosing the appropriate medium; setting upequipment; writing scripts; producing; selectingmusic and effects; video editing; audiovisualproduction and coordinating with vendors.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, television, broadcasting, communications, digital media, photography, or a related discipline with five or more years of relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience producing, lighting, filming, and editing video content in both controlled and field environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and working proficiency with Adobe After Effects.
  • Strong knowledge of cinematic lighting, professional camera systems, lenses, composition, exposure, production audio, media management, and post-production workflows.

Demonstrated ability to independently manage video assignments from pre-production through final delivery while meeting deadlines and customer requirements.

  • Portfolio demonstrating cinematic interviews, polished b-roll, strong editing, visual storytelling, motion graphics, and finished corporate, documentary, commercial, or social content.
  • Experience working with senior leaders, engineers, technical subject-matter experts, manufacturing teams, or highly complex products and programs.
  • Experience with broadcast, webcast, live-event, or multi-camera production environments.
  • Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, Photoshop, Lightroom, Frame.io, Avid, or comparable creative applications.
  • Understanding of color-managed workflows, log footage, LUTs, color grading, audio sweetening, closed captioning, and delivery specifications.
  • Experience producing vertical, short-form, and quick-turn content for social and digital platforms.
  • Practical understanding of AI-assisted production and editing tools and their responsible use within a regulated or security-conscious organization.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience operating professional drones, gimbals, sliders, lighting-control systems, or other advanced production equipment.
  • Ability to lead small crews, coordinate vendors, mentor developing team members, and provide thoughtful creative feedback.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing production requirements, and maintain a collaborative and positive approach under deadline pressure.
  • Familiarity with corporate branding, accessibility requirements, music and footage licensing, talent releases, and content-approval processes.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and occasionally support productions outside normal business hours.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
