Standard Job Description

Performs the Make, Buy and / or Bill of Material (BOM) planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions. Performs one or more multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions. Maintains production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost. Expedites and optimizes material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements. Coordinates with manufacturing and Operations Management to provide shop floor control on make parts, analyzes and controls production schedule and capacity requirements, executes the plan, provides timely status and expedites or works around plans to preserve schedule. Coordinates with Supply Chain Stakeholders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time phased plan for procured parts and executes processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements. Maintains MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes and coordinates with Engineering and Change Board Rep to make the associated changes to the BOM. 

 

Duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Review Engineering Change Requests (CR) and Change Notices (CN) for Drawing and Part List Revisions.
  • Represent PP&C at Change Control Board for CR and CN reviews.
  • Coordinate with multi-functional teams to develop and execute implementation plan through Model Unit Effectivities (MUEs) for development and productions programs across multiple sites.
  • Maintain production system integrity and optimize inventory to minimize cost to preserve schedule for customer requirements.
  • Aim for 100% Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy across various development and production programs to align with Command Media requirements.
  • Execute and Track Make and Buy Change Requests (CR) for Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) Global and Plant Attributes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Past experience with Make and/or Buy Planning and manufacturing
  • At least one year of related professional experience required
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs (Microsoft Office Suite and SAP S4 Hana, Apriso, Windchill or similar applications)
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
  • Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance after accepting an offer and before starting the role
  • Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) SAP Experience

Desired Skills

  • Experience in the field, such as supply chain management, operations management, or have business SAP ERP experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business
  • Inventory Control and material handling knowledge, including familiarity with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas
  • Green belt certification or ability to obtain Green belt certification
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $67400.00 - $125200.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
