The DARKWING Program is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join our team in Las Cruces, NM.

The Systems Administrator must have a TS/SCI clearance with an adjudicated CI polygraph. As well, the Systems Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

The DARKWING Program System Administrator (SA) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Windows and Linux systems and hardware.   This includes the installation of new servers and the ability to rebuild existing servers. They also will configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, system back-ups, anti-virus updates, and implementation of related infrastructure requirements in accordance with program requirements. The SA must be able to review system logs to identify potential problem areas and make recommendations for resolution. The SA provides all operating system and anti-virus updates, participate in technical research and development to support new work requirements, and hardware end of life replacement. The SA will assist the engineering team with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases as new projects are initiated. These activities may include technical strategy, research & development and designing to a project life cycle. The SA will also support an on-call duty rotation for afterhours support as needed. Some nights and weekend work may be involved.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current adjudicated CI polygraph.
  • Active Security + Certification (For Level 2, Sec+ within 6 months)
  • Windows Active Directory
  • Windows OS and/or UNIX/LINUX administration experience

Desired Skills

  • SPLUNK Administration
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 Administration
  • Experience with Group Policy Object configuration and administration
  • Virtual machine experience (VMWARE)
  • Backup, restore and recovery experience (VEEAM)
  • Familiarization with ICD 503 Security Requirements
  • Experience in IT troubleshooting
  • Experience with Trellix and EPO/ENS
  • Experience in the application of STIG settings to network computing infrastructure
  • Problem resolution skills
  • Can perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • Support documentation updates

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
