Standard Job Description
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in White Sand Missile Range/New Mexico is seeking a highly motivated Senior Field Technician to support multiple programs for Test Fleet Maintenance.
The position duties include: Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of general and technical aspects of the job. Applies knowledge to solve common problems and handle typical situations.
Render technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems. Provide an analysis of maintenance program and recommendations that may be beneficial.
Frequent support to the STORM customer and other user communities as a Field Technician. MLRS Launcher responsibilities will be maintaining/troubleshooting M270, M270A1, and HIMARS vehicles.
Basic Qualifications
- Generally has 3 years of related experience and holds a High School diploma or equivalent
- Mandatory Sills: Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting skills on vehicles and test equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). - MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Interim Secret is required to start.
Desired Skills
- Familiar with White Sands Missile Range operations.
- Familiar with engine and diesel engines.
- Familiar with basic mechanical operations
- General understanding of test equipment such as Digital Multimeters (DMM), oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and computer operating systems
- Familiar with Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control processes and product life cycles.
- Support preparation of test equipment and facilities required for test events
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
