Standard Job Description

The candidate will participate in engineering activities including but not limited to:
  • Hardware and software design and requirements analysis
  • Review and analyze vendor data for:
  • Reliability, Availability and Maintainability predictions
  • Failure Modes, Effects, & Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Appropriately placed repair, sparing, and lifecycle cost predictions
  • Functional Block Diagrams (FBDs)
  • Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs)
  • Participating in design and system architecture reviews
  • Ensuring Design for Supportability and Engineering for Supportability (Dependability, affordability, standardization, upgradeability) activities are being considered and captured.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in System/Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret clearance in a timely manner
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Technical mindset to breakdown systems into logical units
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and their components
  • Aptitude for working well in teams and solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Well organized, capable of planning, scheduling and prioritizing work
  • Available for a minimum of four (4) months, up to eight (8) months, starting September 2026.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Knowledge of Systems Modelling Language (SysML), Unified Modelling Language (UML)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office, Visio, SharePoint, Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS®), Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Jira
  • Results-Oriented Self-Starter Attitude.
